3. AI-Assisted Workflows
Criterion may use artificial-intelligence services to assist with internal drafting, organization, or quality-review workflows.
For example, selected inspector-entered findings may be processed to prepare an initial inspection-report draft. Criterion’s workflow is designed to exclude direct customer-identifying information from AI report-drafting requests where practicable.
AI-generated material:
- Is treated as a draft
- Must be reviewed by Criterion personnel
- Does not replace the inspector’s observations or professional judgment
- Does not independently approve, deny, price, or materially determine a customer’s service
- Is not itself a completed inspection report
Information submitted to an AI provider remains subject to that provider’s security, processing, and contractual terms. Criterion does not authorize AI-generated content to override the recorded inspection evidence.

These providers may process information only as needed to provide their services, meet legal obligations, maintain security, or as otherwise permitted by their agreements and privacy terms.

Customers should avoid publicly posting reports or evidence that contains VINs, license plates, addresses, personal documents, or other identifying information unless they have reviewed and redacted that information.
Criterion may retain original inspection evidence separately from a customer-facing report when reasonably necessary for quality control, professional-recordkeeping, dispute resolution, insurance, or legal compliance.
